Yemen government forces and Houthi fighters signed a deal in Amman to release more than 1,600 detainees. This is the largest prisoner exchange in the eleven-year civil war, reached after 14 weeks of negotiations.

Both sides in Yemen's civil war have agreed to exchange prisoners. The Yemeni government and Houthi armed forces signed an agreement in Jordan's capital Amman. Under this agreement, the two sides will release over 1,600 detainees.
