UN Marks World Autism Awareness Day, Urges Greater Support for People With Autism

April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day. The UN estimates around 1 in 100 children worldwide has autism.

Every year April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day. On this day, the United Nations calls for worldwide attention to autism community. Worldwide approximately in every 100 children there is one who has autism. Autism children sometimes have difficulty in communication and social interaction aspects. This year, many countries buildings use blue lights to support this day. Experts say early discovery and early help is very important for autism children. Parents, teachers and society can together help these children. Increasingly more people begin to understand and support autism community.
