Chilean Architect Smiljan Radic Wins the 2026 Pritzker Architecture Prize

Chilean architect Smiljan Radic won the 2026 Pritzker Architecture Prize, becoming the fifth Latin American architect to receive the honor.

Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena Radic has won the 2026 Pritzker Architecture Prize, the most prestigious award in architecture. Radic, 55 years old, was born and has worked in Santiago, the capital of Chile. He founded his own architecture firm in 1995. His buildings often utilize large boulders and special materials. Among his notable works is the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion built in London in 2014. The jury praised his architecture as full of hope and bringing joy to people. Radic is the fifth architect from Latin America to receive the Pritzker Prize.
