Pope Leo XIV Leads Palm Sunday Mass at Vatican, Calls for Peace in the Middle East

Pope Leo XIV led tens of thousands of worshippers in Palm Sunday Mass at St. Peter Square in the Vatican. He declared that God does not justify war and prayed for Christians in the Middle East.

Tens of thousands of believers came to the square to attend this important religious event.

The Pope said that God does not support war, and peace is truly the most important. He prayed for Christians in the Middle East region, hoping they are safe and well.

Leo XIV is the first pope from the United States, elected in May 2025.

Every year, Palm Sunday is an important commemorative observance one week before Easter.
