Pope Leo XIV presided over Easter Sunday Mass at the Vatican on April 5 before tens of thousands of faithful. He delivered a worldwide blessing from the balcony of St. Peter Basilica, calling for peace in the Middle East.

Tens of thousands of believers from all over the world gathered at St. Peter Square to attend the event.

After the Mass concluded, the Pope delivered a blessing speech from the St. Peter Basilica balcony to the whole world.

In the speech, the Pope called for the Middle East region to stop wars and achieve peace.

Easter is the most important religious holiday for over one billion Christians worldwide.

This is the first Easter presided over by Pope Leo XIV since assuming office.
