Iran Sports Minister Says National Team Will Skip 2026 World Cup

Iran sports minister announced that the national football team will not participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup due to the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel.

Later, the Iranian Football Association stated that the team would not withdraw from the tournament but did not want to play in the United States.
