Chinese Lunar New Year 2026 Marks Year of the Horse

February 17, 2026 Marks the Start of Chinese New Year, Beginning the 15-Day Spring Festival Celebration and the Year of the Horse.

Intel announced a $20 billion investment in advanced chip manufacturing in Europe, with plans to build three new fabs in Germany. This represents the company's largest investment outside the United States.

The investment aims to reduce Europe's dependence on Asian chip suppliers and strengthen supply chain resilience.

German Chancellor welcomed the investment as crucial for European technological sovereignty.

Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger stated that Europe must become a global chip manufacturing hub.
