Drug Found to Delay Rheumatoid Arthritis Onset by Four Years in High-Risk Patients

A new study shows that the immune-targeting drug abatacept can delay the onset of rheumatoid arthritis in high-risk individuals by up to four years. Researchers say this is the first evidence that the disease may not be inevitable for those at elevated risk.
