Science & TechnologyUS Approves H200 Chip Sales to Ten Chinese Firms but Deliveries Remain Stalled
The US government has approved ten Chinese firms including Alibaba and Tencent to purchase Nvidia H200 chips. However, due to pressure from Beijing, Chinese firms have put orders on hold and no deliveries have been made.
According to Reuters, the U.S. government has approved approximately ten Chinese companies to purchase Nvidia's H200 artificial intelligence semiconductor chips.
The companies that received approval include major technology giants such as Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, and JD.com.
However, these companies subsequently suspended their orders under pressure from Beijing.
As of now, there has been no actual delivery of any H200 chips.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang traveled to Beijing alongside U.S. President Trump, hoping to leverage this summit to promote chip sales.
Previously, Trump and China reached an arrangement requiring that chips must be transited through U.S. territory, with the American side obtaining 25% of the revenue from these transactions.
Analysts point out that whether this summit can break through the delivery deadlock remains highly uncertain.
