BusinessVietnam Economy Grows 8.46 Percent in 2026 as Companies Relocate From China
Vietnam has become a major winner in the global trade war, with the economy growing 8.46 percent in 2026 as companies relocate factories from China. Bloomberg calls Vietnam the biggest winner of Trade War 2.0.
According to Bloomberg reports, Vietnam has become one major beneficiary in the global trade war. Driven by large manufacturing investment increases, Vietnam 2026 economy growth rate reached 8.46%, exceeding market expectations. In February, Vietnam manufacturing production index rose to highest level in 18 months, with new orders volume significantly increased. As multinational companies accelerate supply chain relocation from China, Vietnam factories orders continue climbing. Vietnam reached agreement with United States, reducing tariffs on US-bound goods from 46% to 20%. As agreement part, Vietnam promised to crack down on Chinese goods transshipment through its territory. Bloomberg referred to Vietnam as a winner under Trump tariff policy. However, analysts also pointed out Vietnam faces long-term challenges including technology upgrading and rising labor costs.
