Trump Announces Russia and Ukraine Agree to Three-Day Ceasefire

US President Trump announced on May 9 that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a three-day ceasefire from May 9 to 11, alongside a mutual exchange of 1,000 prisoners of war from each side.

On May 9th, the United States announced that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to implement a three-day ceasefire. The ceasefire will take place from May 9th to 11th, coinciding with Russia's annual commemoration of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. During this period, both sides plan to release approximately one thousand prisoners of war each. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy subsequently confirmed the ceasefire arrangement on social media.
