Starlink Direct-to-Cell Service Launches

In early 2024, SpaceX and T-Mobile joined forces and launched a breakthrough service. According to reports, this direct-to-cell mobile phone service enables users to use existing phones without needing any special hardware to send text messages through satellite networks.

This means users can maintain contact even in land areas where cellular networks cannot cover. This demonstrates that users can stay connected through satellite networks in remote areas.
