SoftBank announced a $40 billion bridge loan to further invest in OpenAI, the largest dollar-denominated loan in the company history. The 12-month unsecured facility has led analysts to speculate that OpenAI will complete an IPO before the end of 2026.

On March 27, Japanese technology investment group SoftBank announced that it has secured a $40 billion transitional loan. This is the largest dollar-denominated loan in SoftBank's history and one of the largest corporate financings in global technology sector history. The loan was jointly underwritten by JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Mizuho Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking, and MUFG Bank.
