Samsung Q4 2025 Profit Triples to Record 20 Trillion Won on AI Chip Demand

Samsung Q4 2025 operating profit tripled to a record 20.1 trillion won, driven by surging AI chip demand and higher memory prices.

Samsung Electronics announced Thursday that Q4 2025 operating profit reached 20.1 trillion won, year-on-year growth of 208 percent, setting an all-time high. The company's quarterly revenue was 93.8 trillion won, year-on-year growth of 24 percent, equally breaking historical records. Analysts point out that strong demand for artificial intelligence server chips drove high-bandwidth memory prices to climb significantly, which is the main reason this quarter's performance exceeded market expectations. Samsung stated that its storage business's fifth-generation HBM3E product shipment volume continues expanding, with customers already covering Nvidia and AMD artificial intelligence chip manufacturers. Meanwhile, Galaxy S25 series smartphone outstanding sales performance contributed considerable revenue to the mobile division. Samsung also announced that next-generation HBM4 chip shipment is projected to continuously maintain strong in 2026. Multiple brokerages forecast that if storage prices maintain stable, Samsung's 2026 full-year operating profit may break through 100 trillion won, likely setting South Korea's corporate all-time record.
