Samsung Announces Record $73 Billion Semiconductor Investment for 2026

Samsung announced it will invest over $73 billion in semiconductor production and research this year, the largest annual chip investment by any company in history.

The Bank of Japan convened a monetary policy meeting in March and decided to maintain the benchmark interest rate unchanged. This 8-to-1 vote result was passed, with the only dissenting opinion coming from a board member advocating for rate increases.
