A Russian missile struck an apartment building in Kyiv, killing 24 people including three children. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy described the attack as part of Russia largest aerial barrage since the start of the full-scale invasion.
Ukraine's President Zelenskyy stated on May 15th that Russian missiles struck a nine-story apartment building in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital. The strike killed 24 people, including three children, with an additional 48 people injured.
Zelenskyy reported that since Wednesday, Moscow has launched over 1,560 drones at civilian areas in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force indicated this was one of the largest-scale aerial attacks since Russia's full-scale invasion. Nationwide, approximately 180 locations suffered damage, including over 50 residential buildings.
This attack occurred shortly after US President Trump called for both sides to cease fire for 72 hours. Kyiv declared May 15th as a national day of mourning to honor the victims.
