Reddit announced a new system that will ask accounts suspected of being bots to verify they are real people. The platform removes around 100,000 bot accounts per day.
Reddit is a social media website from the United States. Recently, this platform announced the launch of a new human verification system. If the system detects unusual behavior from a certain account, it will require that account to carry out verification. Verification methods include facial recognition and mobile phone passkey and so on. Reddit stated that this feature only targets suspicious accounts and does not affect ordinary users. Currently, Reddit deletes approximately 100,000 bot accounts every day. Starting from March 31st, the platform will add special labels for compliant bot accounts.
