The new model supports for the first time a context window of up to one million tokens, far surpassing previous OpenAI products. GPT-5.4 integrates three major core capabilities: programming, reasoning, and autonomous computer operations. In terms of computer operation capability, GPT-5.4 achieved a score of 75 percent on the OSWorld test, surpassing the 72.4 percent human expert baseline. Additionally, the new model significantly reduced the hallucination rate, with individual information error probability reduced by 33 percent compared to GPT-5.2. GPT-5.4 comes in three versions: Standard, Thinking, and Pro, targeting different use scenarios. The Thinking version is available to ChatGPT paying users, allowing them to adjust direction in real-time during the model's reasoning process. Twelve days after the GPT-5.4 release, OpenAI launched the lower-cost GPT-5.4 Mini version. Analysts note that GPT-5.4 and Claude Opus 4.6 are currently the two strongest models in the market.
