New employees will mainly work in product development, engineering, research, and sales departments. OpenAI will also recruit specialists called 'technical ambassadors' to help enterprise users use AI tools. This means OpenAI needs to hire approximately 390 new employees every month. This large-scale hiring contrasts with the widespread layoffs trending in the technology industry. Analysts believe this move is to strengthen competition with Anthropic in the enterprise market. OpenAI's main product ChatGPT is becoming increasingly popular in the global enterprise market.
