Science & TechnologyOpenAI Annualized Revenue Tops $25 Billion as Company Prepares for IPO
OpenAI annualized revenue has surpassed $25 billion, up 17% from the end of last year, as the company hires law firms to prepare for a potential IPO.
According to reports, OpenAI's annualized revenue by the end of February 2026 exceeded $25 billion. Compared to $21.4 billion at the end of last year, this represents a growth rate of approximately 17 percent. OpenAI achieved this revenue scale in just about 39 months. By comparison, Google took approximately 17 years, and Facebook took about 12 years to reach the same level. At the same time, OpenAI has hired law firms and begun preparing for an initial public offering (IPO). If the listing goes smoothly, the company's valuation is expected to reach $1 trillion. However, OpenAI expects to achieve break-even only by 2030. By 2027, the company's annual cash burn is projected to reach $57 billion.
