Namibian President Embarks on State Visit to China

Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah arrived in China on July 5 for a state visit. The two nations will deepen cooperation in trade, mining, energy, and digital innovation.

Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah arrived in China for a state visit at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. President Xi will host a welcome ceremony and banquet in her honor. The two presidents will hold bilateral talks to strengthen cooperation. Key cooperation areas include manufacturing, mining, renewable energy, green hydrogen, agriculture, infrastructure, digital innovation, and public health. This visit comes as Namibia seeks to accelerate economic transformation and diversify exports. China remains Namibia largest trading partner, with 2025 bilateral trade reaching a record 40.64 billion Namibian dollars. The visit marks a new phase in bilateral relations.
