Israel Cabinet Formally Recognizes Armenian Genocide, Turkey Issues Condemnation

On June 28, the Israeli cabinet unanimously voted to recognize the genocide committed against Armenians by the Ottoman Empire during World War I. Turkey immediately condemned the move as politically motivated.
