Iran-US Ceasefire Talks Stall as Hormuz Strait Tensions Escalate

Iran-US ceasefire talks have stalled as Iran blamed the US naval blockade of its ports as a major obstacle, while President Trump ordered the Navy to use force against Iranian vessels laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

On the 55th day of the US-Iran conflict, ceasefire negotiations fell into deadlock and tensions continued to intensify.

Iranian senior officials attributed the stalled talks to the US naval blockade of Iranian ports, calling it a "blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement."

Iran's parliament speaker stated that as long as the US naval blockade persists, Iran will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The Strait of Hormuz is a vital global oil transportation channel, with millions of barrels of crude oil shipping through daily to various parts of the world.

US President Trump stated he had already ordered the Navy to sink Iranian vessels laying mines in the strait.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps subsequently seized two foreign vessels and fired warning shots at a third vessel.

Trump stated that the US-Iran conflict has no timetable, denying that political factors were influencing his decisions.

The international community expressed concern over the escalation, with multiple countries urging both sides to maintain restraint and resume negotiations.
