Iran Declares Strait of Hormuz Open During Lebanon Ceasefire, Oil Prices Plunge Over 10 Percent

Iran declared the Strait of Hormuz fully open to commercial vessels on April 17 as a Lebanon ceasefire took effect, sending Brent crude down 11 percent to around $89 a barrel, though the United States said its blockade on Iranian ships would remain in force.
