This round of copper price increases is driven by multiple factors. On the supply side, major copper mines in Indonesia and Chile encountered accidents one after another. Global copper output is facing its first annual contraction since the pandemic.
On the demand side, the artificial intelligence data center construction boom and renewable energy expansion continue to drive copper consumption. Additionally, Middle East tensions have disrupted sulfuric acid exports, forcing some smelters to cut production capacity.
