China industrial profits grew 24.7% year-over-year in April 2026, the fastest pace since November 2023, driven by a surge in computing and electronics manufacturing.
China's April industrial profit grew very fast. Year-over-year growth reached 24.7 percent, the highest growth in more than two years. March's growth was 15.8 percent, April's was even higher. The electronics industry's profit growth was the most, growing 107.7 percent. High-tech manufacturing profit grew 44.8 percent. In the first four months of this year, industrial profit altogether grew 18.2 percent.
