A Chinese court executed four ringleaders of telecom scam syndicates based in Myanmar, the second such announcement within a week.
According to Chinese media reports, China's court executed death sentences on four leaders of a telecommunications fraud gang on Monday. These individuals had long organized telecommunications fraud activities targeting Chinese citizens from northern Myanmar. According to reports, the amount involved in their cases reached tens of billions of yuan. Victims are scattered across multiple provinces in China, and many families have suffered serious losses as a result. This is the second time in less than a week that China announced executions of Myanmar fraud gang members. Beijing has recently intensified efforts to combat cross-border telecommunications fraud.
