China Enacts Anti-Cyberbullying Law with Maximum 10 Million Yuan Fines

China has enacted a new anti-cyberbullying law imposing fines of up to 10 million yuan. The law requires rapid removal of harmful content and expands police and court powers to protect victims.

The Chinese government recently enacted a new anti-cyberbullying law. The law stipulates maximum fines of 10 million yuan against platforms and individuals violating the rules. The law also requires online platforms to rapidly remove harmful content. Additionally, the law expands the powers of police and courts to protect victims. Cyberbullying has become a serious problem affecting the mental health of many people. The introduction of this new law is expected to further curb cyberbullying phenomena.
