ChatGPT Now Available on Apple CarPlay With Voice Support

OpenAI updated its ChatGPT app so users can now have voice conversations with ChatGPT while driving.

OpenAI updated the ChatGPT app in early April. Users can now use voice to chat with ChatGPT on Apple CarPlay while driving. This is the first time Apple has allowed a third-party AI voice assistant to access CarPlay. Because it is used while driving, users can only use voice and cannot see text. However, ChatGPT cannot control car functions. For example, to adjust the temperature or change the music, users still need to use Siri. Users need to update their iPhone system to iOS 26.4 to use this feature.
