AI chip maker Cerebras Systems has filed for an IPO targeting a valuation of $26.6 billion, aiming to raise $3.5 billion in what would be the largest semiconductor IPO in years.
US artificial intelligence chip manufacturer Cerebras filed an initial public offering application with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 4th.
The IPO plans to raise approximately $3.5 billion, with a target valuation of $26.6 billion. If successful in going public, this would be one of the largest semiconductor IPOs in recent years.
The company's 2025 sales revenue grew 76% to $290.3 million, and it shifted from losses to profitability. Cerebras signed a computing power procurement agreement with OpenAI valued at over $20 billion in January of this year.
According to the agreement, OpenAI commits to purchasing 750 megawatts of Cerebras computing power before 2028. This IPO is regarded as the most direct public challenge to Nvidia's dominant position in the AI hardware market.
