Canada Finance Minister Concludes China Visit, Launches Canada-China Financial Working Group

Canadian Finance Minister Champagne concludes a four-day visit to China, signing a joint statement to launch the Canada-China Financial Working Group and discussing potential energy trade.

Chinese customs data recently released shows that in January and February 2026, China achieved record export highs for goods.

This strong export performance reflects global market demand for Chinese products. Exports of machinery, electronics, and textiles showed particularly strong growth.

Experts point out that this strong export growth demonstrates that China's trade competitiveness continues to strengthen.
