Dutch semiconductor equipment manufacturer ASML released its first quarter 2026 financial results on April 15, reporting net sales of 8.8 billion euros and net profit of 2.8 billion euros. The company achieved a gross margin of 53 percent, reaching the upper end of its previous guidance range, with an operating profit margin of 36 percent.

The robust performance was driven by sustained strong demand for artificial intelligence-related chips, which significantly expanded global semiconductor production equipment procurement. Supported by this strong demand, ASML raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance from the previous range of 34 billion to 39 billion euros to a new range of 36 billion to 40 billion euros.

Looking ahead, the company projects second quarter net sales between 8.4 billion and 9 billion euros, with gross margins expected to remain between 51 and 52 percent. ASML holds a unique global position as the sole manufacturer of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines, equipment essential for producing the most advanced artificial intelligence chips.
