Andy Burnham Confirmed as UK Labour Leader, Set to Become Prime Minister This Monday

Andy Burnham was officially declared leader of the UK Labour Party on July 17, winning the support of 379 of 403 Labour MPs, and will take office as Prime Minister this Monday. Since 2016 the United Kingdom has had seven Prime Ministers, and Burnham will become the seventh leader during what is the most rapid period of prime ministerial turnover in nearly two centuries.
