AMD announced mass production of its 6th Gen EPYC Venice processor using TSMC 2nm technology, making it the first high-performance chip at this node.
AMD announced on May 21 that its sixth-generation EPYC processor has begun mass production. This chip, codenamed Venice, is manufactured using TSMC's 2 nanometer process technology. This is the globally first high-performance server chip to enter 2 nanometer mass production. AMD stated that in the future, it will also produce this chip at the TSMC factory in the United States. The new processor is mainly used for data center and artificial intelligence computing. This represents a major advancement for AMD.
